Opening of Corgi Café in London

Dog lovers rejoice! A Corgi pop-up cafe will open in central London as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Hosted by Pop & Bark, the event will run for a single day on Sunday May 29 before the four-day bank holiday weekend. Designed for Corgi owners and animal enthusiasts alike, the royal-themed event will offer guests dog-friendly cappuccinos, Jubilee “puppies,” afternoon tea and spring cocktails for owners to sip on while the dogs play.

Posting on Instagram, the team said: “To celebrate @theroyalfamily HRH The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we’re hosting a @therefinerybankside pop-up event in honor of Her Royal Highness’ favorite furry breed and consort – her beloved Corgi and Dorgis!

    Described as the ultimate “feel-good event for Corgis,” other highlights include a designated “Chill Zone” for nervous or older Corgis and guests, an 80-minute “off-leash” social experience for dogs, and access to secrets. Dog discounts for guests only. As the Queen’s favorite breed, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 year reign.

    Anushka Fernando, who has organized the event, said The subway: “Our breed specific events are known to be the perfect way to socialize your dog and we decided to host our first Corgi event to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee. Corgis have long been her favorite breed and what better way to honor her .

    “This is a day for Corgis, owners and Corgi fans with plenty to sniff and explore, treats and pupuccinos on arrival, playtime with other Corgis and plenty of hoopla from incoming dog-loving humans.”
